Home Close

Part of Donn's Farm, later Broadmead Farm, in Yeovil Marsh

Home Close (Parcel 1191) was a large field of Donn's Farm, later called Broadmead Farm, in Yeovil Marsh.

The 1846 Tithe Apportionment recorded that Home Close was owned by Robert Donn of Stoke sub Hamdon and the tenant was Thomas Dauncey. It was recorded as pasture for grazing livestock and measured 11a 1r 24p.

Home Close (Parcel 1191) was bounded on the east by an un-named field (Parcel 1192) and the farmhouse of Donn's Farm (Parcel 1193), to the north by Four Acres (2) (Parcel 1189) and The Four Acres (Parcel 1190), to the east by the farm access track and to the south by Eight Acres (2) (Parcel 1194).

At the time of the 1919 sale of the six Marsh farms, Donn's Farm had been renamed Broadmead Farm. At this time Home Close saw still listed as pasture and the measurement was recorded as 10a 3r 29p.
