1763 Will of Hannah Hayne

Widow

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Hannah Hayne of Yeovill in the County of Somerset Widow I Give and Devise unto my Grandson Jeremiah Hayne his Heirs and Assigns for ever all those Closes of Meadow or pasture Ground lying at or near a place called Millford in Yeovill aforesaid which I purchased of Mr Spencer and Mr Gast or one of them and now rented by Mr Edward Bullock and my Close of Meadow or Pasture Ground in Yeovil aforesaid called Langs Bush  I Give and Devise unto my Daughter Ann Whetcombe her Heirs and Assigns for ever all my Lands lying in the parish of South Petherton in the said County of Somerset  I also Give and Bequeath unto my said Daughter Ann Whetcombe all my Cloaths and Apparel of every sort  I give unto my Grandaughter Joannah Jayne two hundred pounds to be paid her by my Executrix hereinafter named in one year next after my decease  I Give unto my Daughter Mary Moorhead one Guinea only and as for and as for and concerning all the Rest and Residue of my Goods Chattels personal and Testamentary Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I Give and Bequeath the same unto my Grandaughters Mary Hayne and Ann Hayne Daughters of my late deceased Son Nathaniel Hayne equally to be divided between them share and share alike And I hereby make and Appoint my Daughter in Law Mary Hayne sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Trust for her two Daughters my said Grandaughters Mary Hayne and Ann Hayne  In Witness whereof I the said Hannah Hayne the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament Subscribed my name and set my Seal this fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Sixty three and in the fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Hannah Hayne the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at the request of the said Testatrix have attested the same in her presence and in the presence of each other

This Will was proved at London the fifteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy two before the Right Worshipful George [May?] Doctor of Laws Master Recorder or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Mary Hayne Widow the sole Executrix named in the said will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to Administer
