The 1796 will of Mary Rodber

Widow

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Rodber of Yeovill in the County of Somerset Widow made and made and published this 28 day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Henning now of Yeovill aforesaid Widow her Heirs Ex[ecuto]rs Adm[inistrat]ors and Assigns All and singular my real and personal Estate Goods Chattels Rights Credits and Effects of what nature or kind soever that I am now or shall be at the time of my decease seized or possessed of or any way entitled unto or interested in or have power over by Virtue of or under the last Will and Testament of my late Husband William Rodber deceased or otherwise howsoever and wheresoever situate or being And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Daughter Elizabeth Henning sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time before made And I do declare this alone to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Mary Rodber have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the day and Year first above written

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testatrix Mary Rodber as and for her last Will and testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto

I Mary Rodber late of Yeovil in the County of Somerset but now of Halway in the County of Dorset Widow having made and duly executed my last Will and testament bearing date the [blank] day of [blank] do declare this present Writing to be a Codicil to my said Will and taken as part thereof and hereby give and bequeath to my Grand-daughter Anna Rodber the Sum of fifty pounds and my Silver Salver three Silver Casters belonging thereto one for Mustard one for Sugar and the other for pepper and two Silver Table Spoons one marked W.E.Y.M.P. and the other marked W.R. And hereby ratify and confirm all the Appointments Devises and Bequests in my said Will contained In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty ninth Day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and four

This Writing was signed and published by the abovenamed Mary Rodber as a Codicil to her last Will in the presence of us The Words "the Sum of fifty pounds and" were interlined before the signing hereof

Proved at London with a Codicil 27th April 1813 before the Judge by the Oath of Elizabeth Hanning Widow the daughter & sole Ex[ecu]trix to whom Adm[inistrati]on was granted having been first sworn by Com[missi]on duly to administer
