1817 Will of Richard Taylor

This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Taylor of Yeovil in the County of Somerset Glover I give unto my Nephew John Taylor the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid him by my Executor hereinafter named in twelve months next after my decease I give & devise the messuage or dwellinghouse in Yeovil aforesaid wherein I now live with the outhouses Erections and Buildings yards Garden orchard & appurt[enance]s to the same adjoining & belonging and also all that my other Messuage or Dwellinghouse in Yeovil aforesaid adjoining thereto now divided into two dwellings in the Occupation of the said John Taylor and of Elias Whitby with the Garden and orchard to the same belonging and also my piece or parcel of Land in Penfield in Yeovil aforesaid containing about an acre and half and all other my Messuages Lands and Hereditaments whatsoever charged with the payment of my debts unto my illegitimate Son George Taylor otherwise Eason Son of Eleanor Eason Spinster dec[eas]ed his heirs and assigns for ever and I give and bequeath all my Stock in trade household Goods and Furniture money and Securities for money and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever charged with the payment of my debts Funeral and Testamentary Expences and the said legacy of two hundred pounds hereinbefore given to my said Nephew John Taylor unto the said George Taylor otherwise Eason for his own proper use and benefit and I appoint the said George Taylor otherwise Eason sole Executor of this my will hereby revoking all former wills at any time heretofore by me made and declaring this only to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Richard Taylor the Testator have to this my last Will & testament set my hand and seal this twelfth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seventeen

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator Richard Taylor as and for his last Will & testament in the presence of us who at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testator and of each other
