1825 Will of Joan Palmer

Widow

 

I Joan Palmer of Yeovil in the County of Somerset Widow being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Jonas all my Real and Personal Estate Goods Chattels rights Credits monies in the Funds and Effects whatsoever to hold to him his Heirs Executors and Administrators In Trust to get in and divide the same between himself and my right other surviving Children and the two Children of my deceased daughter Rebecca such two Children to take the one tenth of my said Effects between them subject as hereinafter mentioned and I hereby charge my said property and Effects with payment of my Debts Funeral Expences and the Charges of proving this my Will and I hereby appoint the said Jonas Palmer my Executor and Trustee for the Children of my said deceased daughter Rebecca In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of November 1825

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Joan Palmer the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses then to the same having been first read and explained to her by Edwin Tomkins one of the subscribing witnesses

Proved at London 24th July 1826 before the Judge by the oath of Jonah (in the will written as Jonas) Palmer the Son the sole Executor to whom adm[inistrati]on was granted having been first sworn by Commission duly to Adm[iniste]r
