Yeovil has its own special way of celebrating important national and local events and the following pages are a record of some of these celebrations.

  • 1899 - Queen Victoria's 80th Birthday

  • 1902 - Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra

  • 1919 - Peace Day

  • 1921 - Dedication of the War Memorial

  • 1935 - Silver Jubilee of George V

  • 1936 - Memorial Service for King George V

  • 1937 - Festival of Youth

  • 1945 - VE Day

  • 1954 - Yeovil Corporation Centenary

  • 2012 - Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee

  • 2018 - Centenary of the Armistice
